Nutshell Series: Long-Term Care Asset Protection Planning: In this fundamentals program, Scott Solkoff goes strategy by strategy through some of the top Medicaid asset protection tools, explaining the core of each strategy, providing the documents and reviewing the steps for use in your practice. Strategies covered include: Irrevocable Asset Protection Trusts, Annuities for Spousal Planning, Family Caregiver Agreements (Personal Service Contracts) (which he helped pioneer), Pooled Special Needs Trusts, and Qualified Spousal Special Needs Trusts (including wills-only and the Reverse-Pour over trust combo). Discussion will be had on state specificity. (NOTE: For those who have completed the 360° Elder Law Practice Builder Program, much of this presentation will be a review).
