Curriculum

Everything you need
to practice with confidence.

01 A Purposeful Elder Law Practice Foundation +

Ethics, purpose, and the business model of a thriving Elder Law firm. Why this practice area changes how you work — and how you're compensated. You'll leave with clarity on why doing well and doing good are the same thing in Elder Law.

02 Estate & Incapacity Planning Core +

Elder Law estate planning flipped — lifetime needs first, post-mortem planning second. Advanced Health Care Directives with precision and ethical depth.

03 Social Security Core +

Retirement benefits, SSDI, SSI — and how cash benefits connect to special needs trusts, Medicare, and Medicaid planning strategies. Essential for any client with disability or aging concerns.

04 VA Benefits Specialty +

Eligibility formulas and how VA benefits intersect with Medicaid and long-term care planning for veterans and their families. A differentiator most Elder Law attorneys overlook.

05 Medicare Core +

Parts A, B, C, and D. Medicare Supplements. How Medicare fits into nearly every Elder Law case your clients bring you — and how to advise with authority on coverage decisions.

06 Medicaid Core +

Core substantive knowledge and ethical considerations. The essential foundation for long-term care planning across most of your client base. Medicaid fluency separates the Elder Law attorney from everyone else.

07 Special Needs Trusts Advanced +

First-party, third-party, testamentary, pooled — presented, drafted, and applied through real case studies. Includes the proprietary ELC Health Care Trust, enabling simultaneous Medicaid and private health insurance.

08 Long-Term Care Planning I & II Advanced +

Asset protection fundamentals through advanced strategies. Converting countable to non-countable assets. The complete Elder Law toolbox — unpacked strategy by strategy with case studies throughout.

09 Evaluating Mental Capacity Ethics +

Recognizing cognitive impairment — with deep focus on ethics, family dynamics, and how to represent clients in sensitive situations with both legal precision and human care.

10 Marketing, Pricing & Workflow Business +

Building referral networks, how to price your Elder Law services for the value you're delivering, and the workflow that makes your firm efficient and scalable from day one.

Graduate Results

Attorneys like you.

"Scott's passion for the practice is highly contagious."
"I left invigorated and ready to build the practice I always wanted."
"I paid for my entire experience with my first client."
"My revenues more than doubled within months."

Common Questions

Everything you need
before you enroll.

Do I need prior Elder Law experience to attend?+

No prior Elder Law experience is required. The 360° Program is designed for attorneys who want to add Elder Law to their practice — starting from wherever they are. Most attendees come from estate planning, family law, or general practice backgrounds.

How often does the live program happen?+

After you enroll, you'll receive a welcome email with a link to register for a live 360° program session. Sessions run throughout the year — simply register for whichever one fits your schedule when you're ready. There is no need to pick a date before signing up. Your enrollment covers any session within your first year of membership.

Is the online training available immediately after I enroll?+

Yes. Your Member Portal is activated as soon as you enroll, giving you access to the full 360° on-demand training library right away — before the live program even takes place. This includes session recordings, the document library, and past monthly call recordings.

Will I receive CLE credit in my state?+

CLE is registered for Florida. The exact number of credits varies by state — graduates receive 20.5 general CLE credits and 2.5 ethics credits through the live program. Students are responsible for applying for CLE credit in their state(s) of admission. We recommend confirming the exact credit count with your State Bar before enrolling if CLE is a key factor in your decision.

What happens after the live program?+

After the live program, you'll have full access to the Member Portal for 12 months — including on-demand video of every program module, the complete Elder Law document library, monthly live calls with Scott Solkoff and the ELC team, past call recordings, and the ELC Listserv for peer support from practicing attorneys. After your first year, you can cancel or continue as a member.

What exactly is the refund guarantee?+

If you don't earn back your full investment — conference fee plus first year of membership — within your first year of Elder Law practice, Elder Law College refunds every dollar. The only conditions: attend the full 360° Elder Law Practice Builder, mentally commit to building your practice, and follow and document the Momentum Schedule we provide. No fine print, no gotchas.

Can I speak with someone before deciding?+

Yes. You can schedule a call with Nathan directly via the Calendly link in the section below. He can walk you through the program, answer any questions about fit or logistics, and help you decide if the 360° is the right next step for your practice. Note: the Calendly link will be added shortly — if you need it now, reach out through the Contact page.
